We just had white truffles this week in class...
they are especially good this year.
FYI white truffles are not only in Alba, but Tuscany has several areas, San Miniato, on the way to Pisa ( their festival is the 2,3 and 4th weekends in November) and San Giovanni D'asso, south of Siena, also a festival in November.

November 2 is out truffle show and market. There's a big exporter not far from me, and Pietralunga is jammed with cute sniffy dogs.
