Oh Marg - I read the title of this thread and said peach, then peach, and I suppose peach. Three weeks and two days to go.

Great minds think alike.

Hey Dean - make mine peach please. IceCream Garlic Man

Yes Dean, now that my son is at Quantico for the next year, maybe we can stop by too...and gelato would be such a treat while in the states!

Leslie, I am so with you on peach, and more peach Gelato.

But then, one summer I had the most exquisite plum - even harder to find than peach.

After that, coffee, or the rest of the summer fruits.

This trip, I had combos of dark chocolate and mixed berries.

And now I am both hungry and sad.

I've always been a hazelnut freak, so NOCCIOLA gelato is the taste of heaven for me! LIMONE is a close second and so very refreshing on a hot summer day!

My new favorite is fior di latte. Second is caffé, but never after about 2 PM because it has more caffeine than coffee does.

Yes we have gelato. My new chef makes the bases from scratch and it is naturally flavored with fruit or nut puree. No stabilizers or additives.

Right now we have litchi, nociola with crunchies, kalmisti (Indonesian citrus fruit), bitter chocolate and vanilla. We offer the vanilla affogato ("Drowned" in espresso) or with gelato (Villa Manodorli 12 year old).

Pear - at the new gelato place across from Cafe San Eustachio and Cantelope with honey at some place in trastevere. Which I have kicked myself forever for not noting where it was.

Recently Phoenix has acquired a local chain called The Gelato Spot - they make very good gelato served at the right temperature/consistency. My favorite there is spiced Rum with raisins. I can't seem to get past that to some of the other flavors.
