I enjoyed my trip to Malaysia and one of the things that impress me with this country is the selection of food. Because of the fact that you have Malays, Indian and Chinese there are so many things to choose from. When I was there I was a bit depressed as I didn't have enough time to taste it all. But we got to try out a bit of the Indian food at least (as we have friends there that are of Indian decent). One of the most "exotic" experiences for us was to eat at a "banana leaf" place. The food is served on a leaf and you eat with your fingers...but the food was great. Apart from that the traditional roti canai is a favourite...but for a guy used to museli and milk for breakfast it is quite a change to have a roti canai (sort of pancake) with curry on the side for breakfast. The local coffee (kopi) is good by the way...if you don't give the any instructions it comes with milk (sweet condense milk?) and lots of sugar :-) Well, I will be back with more details later on. Here is a picture when eating at the banana leaf place.
