OK guys. Just giving you a heads up here.
Starting Monday, I'm going to have a four week contest on my blog.
I just got the new "Foodie Fight" trivia game by Joyce Lock. Think Trivial Pursuit for hard core foodies.
Anyway, I'm going to use it to run a trivia contest on my blog. The winner will get a copy of the game for themselves.
Every Monday for four weeks, I'm going to post six questions. At the end, the person with the most correct answers wins.
You can see my Monday blog entry for details and the first set of questions.
Here is a picture of the game.

Deborah-I can't wait! That sounds fun. I've never heard of this game. Hope my knowledge is good enough!

Cindy Ruth, I'm so happy that I was the VERY first person to leave a comment on your new blog. By the way, I love the title.

Thanks Deborah. I'm still trying to get everything figured out, but I'm slowly getting there. Spending too much time on the computer though. My husband came up with the name-I told him about Sunday Slow Bakers, and said I wanted something that had to do with cooking or baking and maybe Alaska, and he immediately thought of it. I thought it was appropriate also. Although I did want to call it half-baked Alaska.

Deborah - what a fun contest! I'll take a stab at it on Monday - but then will be largely un-connected for the next two weeks while we enjoy Argentina and Uruguay. Will you be giving the answers as you go along, or waiting til it is over?

Judy, I'll post the questions on Monday (or maybe late Sunday night)
Then I'll post everyone's comments on Tuesday along with the correct answers.
Then the next Monday I'll post a new set of questions, and so on.
I finish up two days before we leave for Budapest. So the winner probably won't get their game mailed to them until the middle of July.

how fun!
I met Joyce in New Orleans at my food convention.
I have had an Italian trivial pursuit on food for more than 10 years.. and love it!

That is cool, Judy. She is a lovely woman.
She will be watching my blog to see how everyone does.
We are talking about her coming to St. Louis to do a signing later this summer.

OK --
Week one is closed. 10 people participated! That is so cool, thanks!
You can go to the blog and see that I've added Joyce's answeres to the questions in the exact wording she used.
Plus you can see everyone's answers.

Since nobody used the words - Cheese Paper - I think we are already going to have a bit of a 'discussion' about question six.

I agree that this one was a tough one.

The first two weeks, I just closed my eyes and pulled a card out of the center of the pile.

I think next week I will pick questions from different cards.

My criteria will be all questions that I DON'T know the answers to.

I didn't get the week 3 questions posted until just now. So I'm not going to post the comments or correct answers until Wed evening.

This time, I used 6 different cards and picked questions that I hadn't a clue to the answer.

Okay Deborah, I guess I should ask. Is it okay that we do searches trying to find the answers? I still haven't found all of the answers doing that, but I don't see how anyone would know half of the answers if not!

Cindy Ruth, no rules about how you learn the information. The fun is learning something you didn't know.
Some people want to guess just to see if they can, others want to search.
Some people have searched, and still come up with an incorrect answer or two. Wink

I've posted the final week's questions early and I'm leaving it up until Wed. evening.

I've also added a little twist to the prize selection. Garlic Man
