Our nephew and his future bride are going to be holding their wedding at our home the beginning of May and with an 11 AM wedding, we were trying to come up with some ideas for beverages to serve, alcoholic and non for this small (25) ceremony.

We'll do the traditional champagne toast but after, what should we offer? Naturally we thought mimosas but this group has always had some GREAT suggestions.

Can you give us some ideas??? To be honest, we are bit lost..

Thanks!!

Doug

This is tasty and looks 'wedding-like'

Frozen French Lemonade
1 oz Alizé Red Passion Passion liqueur
½ oz citrus vodka
1 oz water
4 oz lemonade concentrate
1. To a blender, add 1 cup ice, 1 oz Alizé Red Passion liqueur, ½ oz citrus vodka, 1 oz water and 4 oz lemonade concentrate.

2. Blend until slushy and pour into a Champagne flute.

Ann M & Scott fed us some Bellinis that made a delicious change from mimosas. And they did it the easy way -- bottle of peach juice and bottle of champagne, not much to mix up! We plan to do that for our next brunch.

Aw, thanks Janie. They are super easy to make, especially if you use a good bottled peach juice. I've also made raspberry bellini's using Giada's recipe.

Doug dear,

you could another version as well - get some good melons and put them through the food processor, adding some cooled sugar syrup and just a touch of lemon juice to hold the color (honeydew would make a nice light green). Maybe some raspberry, some peach and some melon ones could be the offer. The colors would be very sorbet like and they would be very refreshing!

Another lovely aperativo which I like to make is to see if you can get a bottle of Martini and Rossi ROSE vermouth -- not rosso, but rosé. This together with Prosecco also makes a very lovely aperativo.

How about some white Lillet over ice with fresh lemon or lime.
