Now I feel silly posting this after the "cook from scratch" post, but I am desperate...

This weekend, I used my next-to-last package of Knorr Melange de Carbonades. It is a dry mix which is seasoning for beef stew. When I lived in Belgium, I bought this at the local groceries and brought a bunch back with me when I moved. I've had friends bring some back for me when they moved or came to visit too. No personal contacts there now, however.

I contacted Knorr and they said that they can't help as that is not a product manufactured in U.S.

Is there anyone in Belgium or maybe France that could send some to me or bring back this way? I would gladly pay for mail. It might also be available in Netherlands because the package is in French and Flemish (melange stoofvlees).

We are going to Provence the last two weeks of March. I am making a trip to the Leclerc supermarche to bring back several packaged food products we can't get here. (Okay, so I don't cook all by scratch!) One thing on my list is Knorr Sauce aux trois Poivres. I would be glad to see if I can find the Knorr Melange de Carbonades and buy however much you want, unless you get an earlier offer. You sound desperate!

I am glad to do this if you can wait two months, so just let me know!

I can wait, Kathy. I've got one more package left. I don't even know if Knorr still makes this, but boy, it is really the best seasoning for carbonnade.
