I'm eating more vegetables these days (go, me! Carrot1 ) which means I'm cooking more vegetables, too. I like the look of julienned vegies, so took a look on the Internet for tips on how to do that without a mechanical device ... since I don't have any. Big Grin

I found this site with its no-brainer instructions, but what do you think about the 3rd comment: "too much cut on the vegetables looses vitamines."

Besides the poor english ... I find that hard to believe. Over-cooking I'd agree with, but too many cut sides leads to vitamin loss? Maybe because some vitamins are in the peel/skin which might be cut away?

Colleen, I've never heard of that! I can't imagine that you could lose enough to make it a concern.
