Er, well, I thought the recipe for the Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream was in the book. Instead, it's one of the recipes posted on his website here. (I guess that's what I get for trying to rely on my memory ) So, I'll be happy to pick another recipe. That is, one which actually appears in the book. --Sharon

If it's okay with everyone ... It just occurred to me that we could even do an Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream and Salted Caramel Cheesecake pairing. Sharon

I'm still waiting for my copy of the book to arrive, but I promise to pick a recipe as soon as it does! Whichever recipe I do choose, I've decided I'm going to use my quatro pizzelle maker to make ice cream sandwiches. That means that for at least one week, I won't have to come up with bowls.

OK, my book FINALLY got here. I HAVE to pick the Toasted Coconut Ice Cream from page 96. I'll serve it over sweet sticky rice in an attempt to duplicate my all time favorite dessert from Lotus of Siam in Vegas.

Sharon, I read David's recipe for Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream too and I thought it sounded like just the most amazing thing. So, please don't pick another recipe, let us all make this one! -Krista

Ok, Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream it is. (I'll post the link again closer to the date.) Deborah, I love your idea of pizzelle ice cream sandwiches. Forget bowls, I need to get a pizzelle maker! Sharon

As for me, I'm pretty excited about the Toasted Coconut Ice Cream, that sounds heavenly. Not sure which chocolate to make, they all sound good. I bet Palma will make the white chocolate! -Krista

Sharon, I'm thinking that there are about 4 selections in our list that would lend themselves to the ice cream sandwich. Cindy's Malted Milk with chocolate pizzelle. Marcia's Peach with almond pizzelle Chris's Aztec "Hot" Chocolate with hazelnut pizzelle. And Nancy's Lavender Honey with traditional fennel pizzelle would be divine! Krista, I'm glad you like the Coconut choice. I hope some of the group decide to try serving it over warm sweet sticky rice.
