Vidanto, are you out there? You posted that the best pasta comes from Gragnano. Is that any and all pasta from Gragnano? Today I discovered that our alimentari/deli/fruit and vegie shop is no longer stocking Delverde and has replaced it with Garofalo from Gragnano. Is this a quality Gragnano brand?
Have also tried Borella brand pasta from Bassano Del Grapa, which we really enjoyed. How does it rank? Not that it's ranking matters, as it's the experience that counts. If I could still buy it, I would still be buying it.
Garafolo is also here in Florence, but one of the best spaghetti's I have ever had came in a package with a blue label, named VERACE. a lot of the pasta's are from the Pastai Gragnesi here is a great site says they also serve Australia! Turn your guy onto this!
Now I am here. I wa out for two weeks. So, in my opinion it is really coming from Gragnano the best Italian pasta. When I say Gragnano, I want to mean also Torre Annunziata. I know Garofalo and I agree it's very good. Anyway, in my personal rank, I go on to prefer ex-aequo: Di Nola (in Gragnano) and Setaro (in Torre Annunziata). By Di Nola I prefer "candele", "fusilli" and "calamarata". By Setaro, all the other kind of pasta and, sure, its delicious spaghetti. Ciao a tutti.

We ahve an organic pasta called Montebello at Whole Foods. Its from marche. Made with bronze dyes and slow dried. Wonderful stuff. Have gotten totally spoiled by it. Available in Spaghetti, Cappelini, Linguine, Strozzapretti, Penne, Conghiglie and Farfalle. Only $249 a bog.
I also love Lantini and Campofilone brands. Martelli (I think its in the yellow bag with the brass rivets) is another favorite from Toscana.
