So what are you all using? I have my Tiramisu ice cream in a tuperware container, but I think my sherbert will overlap. Do you think one of those ziploc containers will protect it enough? What's everyone else using?

Varying sizes of Gladware, depending on how much is consumed when we first dig in.

So GLAD you asked, Kim!. It is out of control here. I have more AND two ice cream machine bowls in the garage freezer! Currently Gladware is working for me. Happy I will have a very happy dogsitter when I give it all way next week when we leave for Italy!

One more batch to make before I go, and the three flavors I'll miss while away will be done. I'm a very dedicate, chubby scooper!

I use Gladware too. I find this 6 cup (48 oz.)a good size for the amount of ice cream we make each week.

I save canisters from cream cheese, etc (I put the tiramisu ice cream - or some of it - back into the containers I got the mascarpone in.) I am taking a lot of ice cream to the Vine and I know those guys will toss the containers or at the very least, they will lose the lids.

Reuse, recycle... but I also use a lot of store-bought plastic containers. My newspaper often has coupons for them and then I go where they do double coupons. You guys didn't know I was a thrifty shopper did you? Big Grin

I've been using a plastic storage container, too. But I've had my eye on this Ice Cream Pan from Williams-Sonoma. I think it would be great if I was doing a double batch for a party or something, but I think it might be too big for just a single batch. Looks so cool, though, doesn't it?

Shannon, good idea for reusing containers that other things came in when you're taking it somewhere. I always have some cottage cheese or ricotta cheese containers cluttering up my cupboard.

For me, it's the containers the soup comes in from the Chinese restaurant. Smile

Krista, I love the ice cream pan, but I think the Gladware is going to have to do me for now.
