Yes I know I've lost it. I bought a bottle of new olive oil from Volpaia and since then, we haven't parted company. I carry a small container of it in my purse and I pour it over my fish, salad, etc.
As a result, I'm forced to swim for at least an hour a day just to burn off all the excess calories from the oil. Oh, life is so unfair.
I worked with a guy once who carried an assortment of hot sauces with him all the time and lined them up in front of his plate every day at lunch so he could select the right one for whatever he was eating. I thought that was bizarre. But I LIKE the idea of the little bottle of olive oil!
Julia, it makes a great hair conditioner if you heat it up and oh, a great skin treatment if you mix a bit with coarse salt. Using the really good stuff is necessary for the best results. Might seem like a waste, but remembmer that scene in English Patient where Juliette Binoche (spelling) brought olive oil out to that gorgeous Indian guy with the long hair while he was showering and they fell madly in love?) You never know what can happen with a little olive oil!!
