Gosh, I just discovered this forum. What fun. While the emphasis seems mostly on Italian here, I thought I'd throw in this fave of mine, as avocados are in season here in CA, and I'm enjoying it.
On low heat in saucepan, place 1 T per ingredient, per avocado half:
Catsup Plain vinegar Worstershire Sugar Butter
Let heat slowly, stirring occasionally while you shred up some romaine lettuce. Nestle avo half into bed of romaine in smallish bowl. Pour sauce into pit hole, letting some drip onto lettuce. Eat with spoon.
Not the healthiest thing on earth, but hey, it sure tastes incredible!
