Here are the guidelines: You select one of your own photos to post that in some way utilizes the topic. Use the topic as a concrete prompt, or find a novel approach. Each person, just one post/photo per thread topic, (or two if you must)please. Photos should be resized to be no wider than 600 pixels. Too-large photos slow down the loading of the thread, and will be deleted. Read about how to post a photo in a thread, here. If you have an idea for a photo hunt topic, contact one of the Mods to offer the suggestion instead of beginning another thread.
Posting photos in the thread gives your permission for SlowTrav to eventually move the photos over to Photohunt albums in the SlowPhotos Gallerries.
This week's prompt is "liquid."
You're encouraged to describe your photo--where you shot it, details of what you were doing or what was going on, etc.
Cooking liquids are at least implied by the wooden spoons and jars in this photo of a kitchen in the "Peasants' Museum" in Buscemi, Sicily. Note the carvings on the handles.

We were at a winery tasting the various offerings when a local resident came in with his bottles (formerly holding olive oil) to fill up at the winery's vats.

This is the beautiful pool at our B&B in Rufina in Chianti, late May, 2009. I wish you could see the equally beautiful view from poolside of the Chianti hills!

An early morning photo of the Fontana della Barcaccia in the Piazza Spagna. Which I just learned from artrav was the dying view for Keats when he retreated to Rome to heal from TB.
I just wanted to mention that the lovely B&B with the beautiful pool in Rufina in Chianti, shown above, was Il Pezzatino, www.ilpezzatino.it. Someday I'll actually get around to reviewing it, but for now I thought y'all might be curious about it. Thanks!

Gio - Your race photo is amazing! It really captures the speed of the bikes as they "flow" past. I also love the blur of all the colors. What type of camera did you use?

We spent three weeks in Italy in 2007 to celebrate our (gulp) 30th anniversary, finishing up in Venice. This was shot on our last full day there. If I could teleport myself I'd be back there in a heartbeat.
Hi. Could you please tell a newcomer to these competitions how we know the comp has finished and who the winners are? Thanks. Some really great photos here.
These aren't competitions -- no judges and no winners. It's just a way for people to share their photos around a theme. We'd love for you to upload one of your own. Just please remember to resize it to be no larger than 600 pixels wide.

This rock was found at some ruins in Abruzzo. My relatives are not at all sure but the rumor is that this stone was used to make olive oil 2000 years ago. Anyone know for sure?
Sorgenti di Pescara. From the limestone formation near Popoli, liquid water rises from the earth to become the Pescara River. The spring is below the triangular formation on the left.
