Here is how I know about cottages 4 you.
Ah, thanks for the clarification.

Well, anytime you want to send in a review (we collect vacation rental reviews for the US, too) you're more than welcome. Cool

Hi Gloria,

Sorry for the delay. Have not checked this in a few days.
We are meeting our wedding planner next week and she has a place to show us for the BBQ so fingers crossed. She has a few other ideas if not.Having said that, the ideas from everyone who have contributed has really helped me get an idea of what is and is not realistic. So glad people have helped so much!
All the guests are not staying together. Some with us and the rest are spread around Fieosole and Florence.
Will keep you posted on the final BBQ solution!

Well, we had a guest who wanted to arrange an informal meal for her italian family and friends and our caterer quoted her 15 euros each for a buffet plus tables and chairs and plates! No servers though! The caterer would diplay the food for the party and leave them to it and come the following day to clear up the mess!!!

For 40 euros per person you can almost hire a coach and come up to Piedmont for the day!!! :-)

Good luck with your wedding planner! I am sure you'll find a solution even in Tuscany.

We have fortunately managed to find a venue for our BBQ!It is in a place called Il Sodi, just 10-15 mins away from where we are staying. They can do a BBQ for 23 euros per person with proper plates and glasses, tables and chairs. 2 men to do the BBQ and one at the bar.It is just what we were after so all came good in the end! Thanks to everyone who wrote messages and hope I can one day return the favour.
Also, we stayed in the most amazing accommodation, pensione bencista, somewhere I would recommend for anyone visiting Florence but wanting a bit of peace and quiet.

Cath,

Thanks for checking back in with the update; there are many enquiring minds who like to hear the solution to a problem.

Sounds like you have found the right place for the right price and I hope that you have a fabulous BBQ, not to mention best wishes for the wedding itself!

Marcia
