Boy, nothing here? Doru, I'm totally ignorant is there another landmark near the Parco della Musica that I might be more familiar with? Oh wait, is that it, way north of the Villa Borghese?

Kim, if one clicks on your Google map on the link "Explore this area" one gains access to a bunch of options, even definable by distance from the Parco. The problem is that, despite the many times I was in Rome, I know nothing about the area. My friend, who worked for many years in New York, figured this must be like the area around Lincoln Centre, which it isn't.
I see Peter came up with one suggestion. The name Ambasciata d'Abruzzo is very befitting because I think there are quite a few diplomatic missions located in that neighbourhood.
You might try Gnegno, although it may be further away than you prefer,(I'd guess about a mile, unless I'm totally lost). I know it's on the Via Prati della Farnesina and was recommende to us by friend. But, we have never eaten ther before. I think that they said it was a "Slow Food" recommendation, and I know they raved about it.
It might be a little too far away, but the Ponte Milvio area is still manageable from there. And there are MANY great restaurants in that zone. Of course, most of them are on the trendy & chic side. But it is definitely a popular place for drinks and restaurants.
Not too late, Tony and Nino; they leave only on September 17 and then will be back in Rome in late December. So plenty of time to enjoy these recommendations.
