Hi Folks,

Following on from recommendations received for our planned trip to Italy in October, we are wanting to take the overnight train from Venice to Naples.

I have looked on the trenitalia website and can see that this service is available, but have been unable to get it to quote for one/two first class cabins/coupets.

Does anyone know where I could find this information online?

It won't quote a fare until reservations come open 60 days before the trip. You can get a quote of what the fares would be by trying it for a present day. For night trains, the pull-down that says "Mandatory reservations" by default on the English site (although that's a misnomer) can be changed to select 2-bed compartment or "Double seat compartment," also a misnomer since these are beds, not seats.

Hi and thanks for the info.

I did a dummy booking for the end of may and a 3 bed compartment is just under €80. Not sure if that is per compartment or per person but it is enough to budget with.

It's per person.
