Thanks for sharing, Colin! I just started on your Venice report, and I'm enjoying it thoroughly. Great photos, and I like your web page, too... I'd really like to do one myself for our trips, but I'm not so technical savvy on the computer.

I just sat and read your report on Venezia- it was great- I am headed there the first week of this July; Sounds like my husband and I have a bit in common with you two- have to love the prosecco. Although I love the cafes in Piazza San Marco at night- expensive yes; but so worth it. Thanks for the wonderful journey!!

I see your next destination is Vegas in October.. When will you be there? I (along with 10,000 other barbershop harmony singing women) from the 9-14th.
Also while you are there you can hit one of your top 50 - the Grand Canyon!!
Thanks for sharing your travelogues

Colin,
Not Worthy I loved, loved, loved your trip report! You had me laughing out loud so many times. You should hook up with "Maitaitom" who also posted one of the funniest trip reports ever....Between the 2 of you, you'd come up with a T.V. comedy that would surely be a huge hit! Wink Grin

My new favorite word------>"whilst"
My new favorite phrase---->"sh!t, shower and shave". Happy

Your report brought back fond memories of my trip there in Oct. 2004. We stayed very near to the hotel you were at. (we were at Hotel Al Leon on Campo St. Filippo e Giacomo).
Your pictures are stunning, I can only imagine how gorgeous they are in true size.

Thank you for being shameless and topping your thread!! I had missed it too, on the first go around. Eek

Ciao, meow,
Pokey Snail

The Venice report was fantastic. I really enjoyed hearing about the night out at Harry's and the day over at Burano. It's a great read.

Colin -
Great reports! We were in Venice last May and going to Rome in October. Great reading.

Please tell me what kind of camera you have - your photos are excellent!

Thank you everybody !

Amarena - There are a few travel blog sites that will assist you in creating your own trip report pages. Most are also free of charge.

viaggiatrice- ah, the prosseco. Have a fabulous vacation !

DianeB- 10,000 female Barbershop Harmony singers!?! Wow! It's a great shame that I'll miss it by only two days.

AnnieM- Cheers Annie!

Pokey- Thanks for your praise Pokey! I always try to stick to my motto of "A Day without laughter is a day wasted" ! oh, and Venice is such a photogenic city you just have to point and click to get great photos!

LeslieS- Harry's Bar was certainly an experience! And Burano was absolutely georgeous. I'm glad you enjoyed the read!

macdebbie- I have a Nikon F55. It's an entry-level SLR. It's my first "proper" camera and I have been quite pleased with it. But as I said earlier, Venice is so photogenic you just have to point and click and you have a great photo!

Thank you everyone for taking the time out to reply. It really is appreciated! Smile
