I find it interesting to report you this one.

Milan has been always know to be one of the most "european" city of Italy.

In some way it was also considered almost "american" because of the famous skyscrapers built in the '50s/'60s.

But since the '60s, the city has been practically "stopped", while other italian cities built some notable skyscrapers (expecially Genua, Brescia and Naples).

Now, after the demolition of some of those huge old factories in the center of the city, some interesting buildings are rising ... and some of them will be probably new "landmarks" for Milan and Italy, even for Europe !

Some of the most famous architects like Libeskind and Izozaki worked on these projects.

Here some actual pictures and some renderings of the near future of Milan, that now is bringing back the wasted time of the last decades of "sleep" !

Matteo,

The photos are very interesting and fun. Where is the location of the new gov. buildings? I tried using Google Maps but couldn't locate anything. Also where is the citylife quartier located?

Thanks.
