I liked Ancona...of course, I am predisposed to cities. But Ancona has a nice position on the water, an attractive "centro storico" with some very attractive buildings and a grand piazza. There is a Roman arch on the waterfront and an imposing "duomo" on the hill above town. It is very convenient to some lovely seaside resorts in the shadow of the Conero headlands. I would be happy to go back.

Thank you for you replies. I just wanted some general feed back on the City. I plan to visit there in search of relatives in September.
