We are considering staying at the Hotel Sirenetta in Lido di Ostia after our flight from the US to Fiumicino in late May. It looks to be a relativly short taxi ride from the airport and it also appears that Auto Europe has a pick up location about 2 km from the hotel.
Has anyone had any recent experience with this hotel??

Paul

Looks like a mixed bag of reviews from people who stayed there at venere.com
http://en.venere.com/hotels_rome_ostia/lido_di_ostia/ho...on=user_rating#23947
one of the reviews did mention that the taxi fare from the airport was expensive
When I researched Hotels at Fiumicino (same city the airport is in), there were comments about how expensive the cab fares were for such a short distance.

Yeah, I got sucked in on that one! It cost us €100 from Termini to our hotel in Ostia. Here is the thread.
