Those scarves/ties are great! My mom isn't much of a scarf wearer, but my dad would appreciate that tie. Maybe I already have a Father's Day gift - thanks!

The Williams Sonoma cookbook - Rome, by Maureen Fant (who sometimes posts here) is wonderful. Lots of recipes for foods that just say ROME to me. http://www.amazon.com/Williams-Sonoma-Rome-Authentic-Re...id=1177467307&sr=8-1A little more generic is The Silver Spoon which is to italian cooking what Fannie Farmer is to American cooking - or at least its publicity alleges that. I do have to say it is a spectacular cookbook and has supplanted Marcella Hazen in my cookbook library.
