The moment is almost here! Our 5 suitcases are packed and one box is ready for drop off at the post office this morning. We worked until 2am this morning, up at 6:30am, thinking, thinking, more thinking of what we HAVE to get done today. And then there's the massive cleaning to the house so my renter is a happy camper. And did I tell you we have way too much stuff?? Where does it all come from? Did I tell you we had to call my friend in Cortona at 1am today and ask him to call the car rental place in FCO to upgrade our Punto to the station wagon! Smile Good grief! And thank goodness for the travel report on getting your rental car http://www.slowtrav.com/italy/driving/car_rental_rome.htm I so hope we don't have problems getting all our luggage from baggage claim to the rental car pick-up.

Well - off to clean out the frig. Thanks Slowtalk for all the info in helping us with this journey!

Ciao for now.
Jill & Larry

Jill I am so excited for you. Can't wait to meet you when you get here. I'll PM you my number. Remember, the one thing you need to bring is a good sense of humor for the days that you get frustrated. With that you will be fine. Have a great flight!

We are here! Vegetarians!! We still can't believe it. The flights were great, and all the luggage made it. Thank goodness we upgraded the car to a station wagon before we left - there's no way our suitcases would have fit. Smile

Today we registered on libero.it, so we now have the internet. You don't realize how much you depend on email as a communication tool and information source until you don't have it.

Tomorrow we're off to get our permesso di soggirono.

Ciao for now.
