The counter on my blog tells me that we leave Toronto in about 7 hours. We're packed. I've done almost all of the things on my list of things to do and now I am sitting here with my head spinning!
We're in Italy for almost three weeks:
8 days in Piemonte split between Torino and Acqui Terme. 4 days in Lucca 7 days in Montisi 1 short day in Florence and then back home the following day.
It will be great to be back in Italy!
While I've made the usual 'canned posts' for my blog I do hope to blog from the road whenever I can find an internet cafe or access to a PC (I understand that if we use the PC in the villa for more than 15 minutes all of Montisi looses its phone service )

Have a simply wonderful trip guys. I think your itinerary is really good, I know how much time you have put into it, and the evolution from it's beginning (sidenote - Venice will be there waiting for your next trip). You know that I await your Torino notes, but no rush, that's a whole other trip for us too.
And should the first every laundromat GTG happen, hope you get some pictures!

OK--Jerry, Paul, Beth, Palma and I forget whom else besides Gail, have a totally fantastic time together. What fun it shall be. I can just hear the laughter and joy now. Can't wait to hear all about it. Jerry, give our greetings to Diana.
Jerry, if you rent a bike in Lucca with a bent basket that probably was mine. I fell going down a path from the wall (nothing serious for me but the poor basket). My daughter and I were laughing so hard while we were trying to unbend the basket with our hands. Luckily the guy we rented from didn't notice or? Don't fall off the bikes but do rent them. You're going to have a blast...just let us know how it all goes. Have a ton of fun! We love you guys! Barb Cabot
