I would like to rent an apartment with two bedrooms for my self, my partner and my two daughters (10 and 12) in Elba this summer. We speak fluent Italian. Does any one have any recomendations ?

Cavo is very quite. Marina di Campo has a big beach and would be fun for the girls because there are lots of young adults and children. There are also discos for young adolescents and activities. Porto Azurro is too touristy for my taste and overpriced. Porto Ferrario has one nice beach with pebbles and crystal clear water to die for but there is really no beg sandy beach there.
Capoliveri is beautiful but up on the hill away from the sea.

Dipends on what you are looking for.

Check La Margherita agency's website on Elba...when I was thinking of going I noticed they had a great selection of homes, apts. also trekking and boating excursions.
