My fiance and I are planning our Honeymoon in Italy in the fall. We're planning a quick stop in Venice before venturing down to Tuscany for a week and then to the Amalfi Coast for our second week. Can anyone tell me the driving time between Venice and Tuscany (Likely Sinalunga) and also between Tuscany and Positano? Thanks!

Hi emf,

I hope that your quick stop in Venice is n less than 2 nights.

Go to www.mappy.com or www.viamichelin.com for driving routes and times.

Thanks, Ira!
We're planning two nights in Venice - it's a compromise since I'm dying to see the Amalfi Coast. I'll take a look at the links you sent me - I couldn't find them when I googled!

emf:

ViaMichelin estimates approx. 4 hours from Venice to Sinalunga and about 4 hours 21 minutes from Sinalunga to Positano.

I can accept the Sinalunga to Venice time estimate--if all goes well, but I'm not buying the Sinalunga to Positano one. I would add an hour.

Jim, thanks for your addendum. After your remarks about Via Michelin's estimates for my proposed Florence-Ancona drive, it crossed my mind that these (right, especially the one down to Positano) might be on the conservative side....

The driving times assume that you know the directions, don't pause or be indesisive and drive rather fast on the autostrada.I find them more accurate for autostrada driving, driving on smaller roads with street changes add 10-20%.RR
