Hotel Berchielli informs me that the Ufizzi (due to some problem with their floors) is limiting the number of people permitted entry at any given time; therefore, the first spots available for reservations is after 15 May.

The limit on number of people has always been in place in my experience...perhaps they are tightening up even more right now.

My colleague in Florence wrote me that the Uffizi has been very difficult to deal with and inflexible lately and my son Seth (of Select Italy) told me that they are having some problems getting tickets until after May 15.
