Ok, so here is my situation: My visa and PDS both expire in May but I have decided to stay till January for school. Do I have to go back to the states to get an extention for my visa or can I just get my PDS extended and not have a problem with staying in Italy and travelling around Europe?
Codice Fiscale question: Is this the only thing necessary along with passport and PDS to get a job? Or are there other papers that are necessary?
You could try to get an extention and maybe they will let you slide on the visa. Stranger things have happened. Show proof of attending school (leter from the school saying you are registered and proof of payment should work) and they should allow it.
To work, as a student with a student visa and a student PdiS you can work for 20 hours a week legally. If your visa is expired I do not know if that would cause problems. Yes, the codice, passport and pdis (with a visa) should be all you need. For non students, this won't work though.
