Hi to all. My boyfriend and I will be travelling to tuscany for a week. We will be residing in a hamlet called Il Granaio. The particular apartment is called Leccio. Has anyone ever heard anything about this place. Any reviews would be appreciated since I haven't been able to find anything. Any suggestions of interesting places to visit would also be appreciate. We don't want a hectiv holiday, in fact we would like to remain in the Chianti area.

Welcome to FT!

Can't say that I'm familiar with a town called Il Granaio. Where is it near?
I recommend doing searches here and getting aquainted with the Slow Travel Italywebsite.

Il Granaio is probably the agents name for the agriturismo where your apartment Leccio is, often agents change the name of the property to stop you finding the property direct.I suggest you find out the name of the nearest town from the company you booked with, then you will have more chance of information about activities and places to visit in the area.

Hi. thanks for your reply. From the instructions that I got, this hamlet is situated between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti. There is also a large winery called MELINI. I am attaching a map maybe it will be more helpful.

Krn, check out our Tuscany Restaurant Reviews. Focus on Chianti - you're in the heart of that area (but other regions are accessible).

Also - head over to the Italy section on www.slowtrav.com, you'll find tons of information on things to do in Tuscany, wineries, etc.
