My 2 sisters/niece/I will be in Italy in June. We need some accommodations in the vicinity of Assisi as well as Florence area (maybe Impruneta). We cannot seem to make the Saturday to Saturday work for us because of when we're arriving. Any recommendations on apartments/agrotourismo/etc. for those areas would be much appreciated. Can anyone comment on the following (as in "good" or "skip it"):for the Assisi area - Agriturismo Alla Madonna del Piatto, agriturismo malvarina, or agriturismo nizzi? Please advise if you have any insights - thanks.

Hi Louie,
I've found the Hotel and Vacation Rental Reviews section of the SlowTrav website very helpful. I know several of the places you are interested in are reviewed there. Bed & Breakfasts can be listed under Hotels, so don't skip that section.

Have fun planning & enjoy your trip. IceCream

A friend and I are booked at Brigolante right outside of Assisi in September. I have never been there but Rebecca, the owner, does articles for Slow Travel - see opening page "Rebecca's Views" ---I believe that she has had high ratings for her establishment in the country - and it is on a farm. Her web site is www.brigolante.com. I think she is originally from Chicago and lives on the farm in Umbria with her Italian husband.

Welcome to SlowTrav!
And again, I suggest you take a look on the main site at the hotel and rental reviews. We have reviews for several of those places, and others as well. Links to the right. You can also search the Message Board for previous threads.
