It all depends on what type of housing she has set up. Not all have phone lines. If she does have a phone line then she can get online with one of the free servers and then just pay connection fees. The phone line is the same if it is a newer line otherwise it will have a 3 prong plug that goes into the wall socket and then a regular line into the computer.

THREAD 2If you want I could set up a Jumpy account for her as the one used in these threads is for travellers and she should have her own with her own email account.

By the way, just for the non English mother tongues and those like me who no longer live in the states so miss the day to day language changes, abreviations such as dtr really are very confusing. It took me a minute to figure out what it was as I thought it was just a spelling error. Thanks.

Apart from three years in the Air Force stationed in West Germany, and occassional vacations to Europe, I've lived my entire life in the States.

It took me a while to figure out that dtr = daugther as well.

Just figure what happens to non-English mothertongue, with all those abbreviation, lack of ponctuation and lack of capital letters... Confused

Thank you, Sidney. Also, would you please make sure you write your answers outside the quotation signs? when you create an answer message all the original text of the message you are answering to is automatically quoted. When answering, the best and clearest thing to do is erase everything included in the quotation signs except the very little that is actually needed to understand the answer, move outside the quotation marks and start writing the answer. Thus, the reply will appear like a pisece of a dialog between two people, in which the quoted part acts like the "question" and the reply is its "answer". On SlowTrav reply form, the quotation marks appear like a text like placed between "squiare brackets" ([]): this string is "QUOTE" (for the start of the quotation) and "/QUOTE" (for the end of the quotation). Thank you again ^____^
