Trying to tie all the loose ends together in the next 24 hours so I can get on that plane! I got hit by a nasty stomach flu that brought me down, flat, but I am getting my act together with my wobbly knees nonetheless. My mother's mounting excitement is carrying me through!
No matter how thrilling it is to travel, it is still always hard to leave my city and my cats...the suitcase is out on the bed and they definitely know something is up.
I promise to take lots of pictures and take plenty of notes for my reviews and report. Many thanks to all the good follks in this community for letting me hang out here and learn from your expertise.
Now, it will be nice to have you on the same continent for awhile. I know you will have a fabulous time with everything. Relax, stay hydrated (have you heard this anywhere before?) and benvenuti a casa, mia cara amica.
Aww, thanks all! Your well wishes mean so very much! Ellen, I did try to consider that it was good timing, as I lay on the floor of my bathroom yesterday. I am hoping that my tummy is not all wonky tomorrow when we take off...I've never had to use that awful little paper bag in my seat back before!
Take something if you have it to help you sleep, some valium or Ambien. This will minimize your nausea. Also drink clear liquids in little sips, & bring some soda crackers. Hopefully your over the worst of it and your Mom won't catch it. Keep your hands washed. Oh and have a wonderful time.
