>>Enjoy Rome<< I have used Enjoy Rome for clients in the past and they were quite good. They may be a little less "serious" than you are looking for and their prices for adults are somewhat above your Euro 15 threshold.

Thanks, Jim. I noticed that their prices are a bit higher, but I am willing to pay a bit more if they are well-informed... that is the most important thing... I went on one bike tour in Prague that my boyfreidn wanted to do (it was a new company with no reputation) and it was a joke! we followed a guy on a bike who made the most obvious statements like 'This is a Church. It's called St. Michael'S'--as if we couldn't read the sign... Hop on the bike and go to the next old building. 'This tower is famous. Many people meet here before they go to cafes.'.... And then some people gave the guy a tip afterwards!!! I couldn't believe anybody let him give a tour...

>>Enjoy Rome<< In general, Enjoy Rome does a good job...I think that Scala Reale is more serious and their guides are better prepared to give an indepth tour. My sense is that Enjoy Rome is aimed at a less "serious" audience and the guides may be more entertaining...but certainly better than your Prague experience.

Sarah, Have you searched the message board for recommendations on walking tours in Rome? There have been many threads on this topic; I'm sure Enjoy Rome and Scala Reale have both been discussed. I don't recall any mentions of guides for Naples, but a search will find whatever there is. In addition, have you looked at the Slow Travel website list of walking tours/tour guides? HERE If you follow the web page "breadcrumbs" back to the Planning page, you'll find other resources.
