I've had reservations at the Family House hotel in Rome for Saturday April 23rd - Tuesday April 26. I made the reservations on March 11th through the GHRS hotel website. I just received an email directly from the hotel saying that they have hydrolic problems and they cannot accomodate us. I told my friend to call to see if they had any rooms available and they told him that they were full. I think they have either over-booked or they are probably trying to get more money with everything going on in Rome right now. Do any of you have any suggestions on what I can do about this. Of course, if we try to book somewhere else right now, we're going to have to pay so much more. Not sure what we're going to do. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.

Have you tried checking with the website that you booked this reservation?

They may have a policy when it comes to a situation like this.

I would think they should be able to get you in another hotel.
