Hi,

If Deborah or anyone who has made her limoncello is reading, I'm wondering if I'm missing something. At one point, it says you would have filtered it 4 times, but I only see 3.

I also missed the 2nd filtering and now the syrup is already mixed in. Is this a big deal?

Also, when it says to wet the filters, I wondered if that meant through all the filtering stages, or just the stage where it is referenced.

I may make this again so would love clarification.

Also, has anyone ever made blood orancello? I've heard some limoncello recipes call for adding some juice. I did not. But thought it would be a beautiful color if so.

Thank you!
Jane

I don't know the recipe you're referring to but...
I only filter my limoncello (or any other liqueur) once, you want to wet the filters to help the liquid go through them but if it did work without wetting them, no problem.
Enjoy your limoncello and if you get some organic tangerines next winter give them a try, same recipe!

I only filter once also, when I'm ready to bottle. I don't know about using blood oranges--if I can get organic Meyer lemons, I use them. They are a lovely color too.

Closing this topic since an answer has been received and it's more of a disccusion for our food forums than our travel forums.
