Has anyone stayed at Frattoria Allesandra in La Spezia? I saw their website yesterday and I think it looks like an amazing place for my boys (6 and 10). Any information would be appreciated!
I don't know this agriturismo, but know the area very well as it's in my "backyard". Ameglia is charming medieval village about 25 minutes south east of La Spezia, but it is not on the sea or even facing it (you are actually facing east to the Apuane Mountains which is not bad!). Just something you should know upfront. The area is pretty nice with Bocca di Magra nearby (beaches, boats, good restaurants) - also Sarzana, one of my favorite villages in Italy. You will most likely encounter very few Americans. There will mostly be Italians, some English and Germans.
It sounds as if they have some good activites, but I would email them upfront for more info to make sure all they "offer" is really there to offer! Make sense? Buona fortuna!
