A group of some twenty people spending 2 weeks in Umbria, focusing on cooking, and having a grand time. Some of the most beautiful photos of Umbria online anywhere, several dozen pages worth; (click on small ones to open splendid large): enjoy!

Wonderful photos! These would make a great slide show burned on a DVD, which I am just learning to do.

Seeing all those wonderful photos taken in Umbria makes me wonder about changing our Veneto trip plans for this coming May.

Bill, have you settled on a camera/lens outfit for you upcoming trip?

Bill, you are a cruel, cruel man. Big Grin
The photos of Gubbio made me very homesick. And the ones of Spoleto were wonderful. It reminds me that it has been too long since I've visited Spoleto. Need to go back this year, I think.

In a previous life I was an Umbrian sunflower farmer. I want to do a past life regression and stay there.

Cruelty is being punished. I ordered my Canon 10D "Digital rebel" and a telephoto lens, about 10 days ago; and am now being told that it won't ship from this particular distributor until "mid-February" and I should call them on Monday. I'm probably going to have to scramble to find one anyway I can, and soon.

I second that!

Wow, it's no wonder they call it the green heart of Italy.

But cruel or not, thanks for the photos, Bill.

B&H in NYC has the 10d in stock but not the Rebel.

O for wishful thinking. I meant the 300D of course; the 10D is more than I (a) can afford; (b) would know what to do with. Anyway, my decision to wait till prices dropped after Christmas was a very bad one. The stellar hit not only didn't get cheaper, it sold so well there aren't any. Panic time.
