Just another thing.... I would like to get married in Tuscany but Im not sure whats the best time of year. I would like the weather to be warm but no scorching. Also is there a month thats has wine festivals, less expensive, etc..... I was thinking May or September??
I second the September recommendation. Most of the wineries in Tuscany will be harvesting during this month, the unbearable heat of August has gave way to sunny, warm days and you will still find beautiful flowers for your bouquet and plenty of festive wine celebrations all throughout the region. September is a beautiful time of year in Tuscany.

Thanks everyone for the advise! I wouldnt have known about the poppies in May and the Grapes in September. I will give your recommendations plenty of thought. You have all been very helpful xxx
October or early november. That's IMHO the best time to visit central Tuscany. The fields are all yellow, rust, red and reddish brown, the new wine is on the make. If you plai it late enough you can have new wine and roasted chestnuts for the wedding party ^_^
Just like Alice, I love early November, when the fields are green again after the heat and the first rain of the autumn. But I would choose May, because the weather is usually warm but not hot and the colours are just beautiful.
The only negative aspect is that it is the most chosen month, so you will need to book church/city hall and location for the party quite in advance.
My best friend organised her wedding two years ago on the 25th of May: Fattoria Nuova Pievanella: the place was breath-taking.
