Looking for rants, raves and good to know info about the San Ambrogio market and the little Mercato delle Pulci (flea market).

I thought they might be fairly close to Santa Croce? Can anyone provide general directions?

Will visit the Central market, but other market suggestions are also welcome.

You should be checking out Via Michelin and Mappy.com...they have very useful maps. From Santa Croce to Sant'Ambrogio is less than half a mile...and you pass close by Piazza Ciompi.

Thanks Jim, looks easy enough to get to, and perhaps worth a quick peek. Not sure about finding any real bargains there.

San Ambrogio is our favorite. It is smaller and more "neighborhoody." It has a nice little restaurant inside where we shared a table with an Italian family and had a nice conversation.
