Hi there I have been waiting for the latest film "Pinocchio" with Bob Hoskins to be shown in the UK.Does anybody know when it is going to happen? It is set in Civita di Bagnoregio, a little fairy tale hilltop hamlet like nowhere in the world, not far from us.

Giulia - per the IMDb website, this was produced in 2008 as a TV special, not for big screen distribution. It looks like it was shown in the US, Italy and France, but not in the UK.

I'm (almost) your neighbor :-). I am in Soriano nel Cimino half the year. I had no idea Pinocchio was set in Civita. I'll have to hunt it down!

Hi Michael it's nice to know that there are English speaking families nearby! It would be really good to meet up especially because my husband's Italian is not that good!
Our area is not so well known by the English. A real pity because it is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy and the food and wine is gorgeous, based on traditional fresh ingredients.
We will check you out when we come next time after Easter. I have your contact.
