Today is the 2050th anniversary of the death of Julius Caesar! If you're interested in his life, his death, and the Rome in which he lived, there's a new slideshow, 44 BC Revisited, posted on the website of the Institute of Design & Culture.

And for those of you who sometimes find the masses of Roman sculpture in an archaeological museum to be a bit overwhelming, there's a hip + humorous illustrated lecture called Roman Vogue or How to Look at a Roman Sculpture.
