Just thought I'd remind those who are following Amazing Race.

It was great! Looks like the teams will spend some more time in Sicily in next week's episode. I so want to go to Sicily... Maybe next year. Sigh.

Yeah, I was exclaiming, "Ooh yes, one more week in Italy!" While my daughters were like, Roll Eyes "Uh no, one more week in Italy."

That was nice to see how beautiful Italy looked in contrast to the previous winter landscapes. I think even the contestants mentioned it.

Gee you people must be weeks ahead of us. We have just seen the two 'screaming' sisters eliminated.

Oh, Elly. If that is the case, then the rest of us should confine our posts to the scenery and not discuss the eliminations. Wouldn't want to spoil it for you!

I will say that the pair that came in first and the pair that squeaked by as next to last are my two favorites.

Thanks Deborah, but seeing as we are leaving for Italy in three weeks, I'm going to miss it anyway.

One thing I don't do when on holidays, is watch TV.

My daughter and I are huge Amazing Race fans; the timing of the Italy episode was perfect since we leave Saturday! My daughter is sooo excited! Our Tivo is set and we will catch up on the next two episodes when we return...

The Amazing Race was in Russia for us!! (Australia). I don't know where that fits into the scheme of things.

But we also had an "Italian Experience". It was the last episode of Jamie Oliver cooking in Italy. It was great to see the sights, streetscapes and his interaction with the people.

This was timely as we leave for Rome & 3 weeks in Italy next week. Smile

ember, i watched the final of Jamie Oliver last night too. I think I almost bruised my boyfriend sitting on the couch watching the second episode on the amalfi coast. I kept nudging him in the ribs going "we're going there! look at it! seriously we'll be there in a couple of months" i was ready to pack my bags then and there. Smile

Okay, so even Melbourne are a week ahead of us. SURPRISE! SURPRISE! WA does not stand for 'wait awhile' without good reason.

They also have clips available on their CBS website. Blushing But, that's up to your personal choice as to access the episode blogs.

episode blogs? oh no, a new addiction! I was so excited they were in Sicily, I called my mother and woke her up. Needless to say, she was not amused.

Wendy and I actually bumped into Jamie Oliver and his crew in Italy last year. It was the episode at Farfa Abbey.

I can confirm that the monks really did think he is a good cook.

It made watching the series all the more enjoyable.

I thought that "Amazing Race" was a hymn.

I have to confess that I don't watch reality shows. I will, however, watch anything on the TV about or filmed in Italy.

That being said I did watch every episode of the Surreal Life when Brigitte Nielson was on because it was filmed in and around Milan. But OMG, it was almost like rubbernecking at a bad accident. Each episode I had to remind myself that the trade off for watching this side-show was that I could see some beautiful footage of Italy .......... and I admit that I did laugh a lot.

I made it thru about 1/2 of Amazing Race before I had to turn it off. For a race it just moved way to slooooow for me - and there really was not much scenery IMO, since all I saw was the same spot each time a team made it there, or chatting it up with anyone other than the contestants themselves.

I saw a commercial where they are actually making a reality show about reality shows ..... and there is some cartoon reality show!!! What's that??? Happy

I have to admit to completing my homework while watching the show this past week. Although, I did glance up every now and again to catch a glimpse of the scenery and laugh when they couldn't put that statue together. I knew it was alright to miss out when I would hear "Come on, baby. Come on, baby." by either Lake and Michelle. Roll Eyes

Sorry for the Cat2ty-ness. But ew, they sure do creep me out.
