I'll be meeting my sister in the airport in Florence. She'll be arriving on Delta Airlines. Neither of us have ever been in that airport. We can't meet at a gate because I am flying into Rome a week earlier. Any suggestions where we could meet easily in the airport.
The airport is very small. Just stand at the arrival gate--there is only one--and you will be right there as she walks out. As you face the entrances to the airport, it is inside to the far right. She will get her luggage before she comes out.
Just FYI: it wouldn't be a Delta-operated flight. It would be a code-share, probably Air France if she's connecting through Paris. Unless it's Delta's flight from New York to Pisa, sometimes billed as Florence/Pisa, which would make a big difference in where you meet!

This should be good information. I checked and my sister is on Delta out of Paris (CDG) operated by City Jet and arrival airport is FLR.
Diva, Jeff, thanks for your comments. I'll try to look larger than life when she arrives. That way she can't possibly miss me. Very excited about this trip. When we were growing up we never had even the remotest dream that we would go to Italy together. (We are now in our 70s!)
