I'm so glad I found Slow Travel with so much useful information. I love spending time researching my trip destination and am the self-designated trip-planner of the family. This site seems to offer answers to most of the questions I have on Rome.
We're going to Italy (Rome) for the first time in early August for 6 nights. I'm taking my 76 year-old mother (whose been wanting to go there since our last European trip to England 6 years ago), my sister, and my 2 daughters (15 and 11). I've been researching sleepinitaly at this site, and it seems to have good reputation so I'm inclined to use them. They list an apartment (http://www.sleepinitaly.com/files/apt_bocacciobig.html) which seems close to many sights. However, I could not find any reviews and am wondering if anyone has stayed there. We need 3 separate beds for mom, sister, and one daughter. My other daughter and I can share. Since I read that Roman summer is hot, air conditioning is a must. The Boccacio apartment satisfies all these and is reasonably priced (185e/night). I would appreciate any info you might have. Also, if you can recommend other similar apartments, I'd appreciate it much.
