Ciao BellaItalia, thank you for your reply. I am really not particular about the area of Florence that I want to live, in the city, out of the city, it is all fine. I am more concerned about finding something very small(just enough for one person) and cheap.(Less than $100,000) The cheaper the better. And a fixer-upper would be fine too. I am open to anything.

We used www.ecasa.it to find our apartment. There are listings through agencies as well as private owners. You can select to rent or to buy an apartment on the site, as well as location. The private rentals and sales are all listed as the last pages. Also check on EasyMilan magazine. Sometimes they have houses or apartments listed for sale through their bi weekly magazine.
