OK - another question. I am planning a day trip to Siena. Some have told me taking the bus is easier (and faster) than the train. Does anyone have an opinion?

Not opinion but facts. The bus is faster (train goes through Empoli which is not on the way), Bus drops you off in town (train station is about 2 kilometers from town).
