Hi there:
First of all, thank you to all that have responeded to my questions on this site, it has proven to be a great resource to plan my first trip to Italy.

We are planning on heading over to trastavere the first afternoon/evening, to walk around, have dinner, etc, and was wondering what is the best transport option from the Colosseum?

Also, another day, we would like to head to the appian way and to the San Callisto catacombs, what are the best transport opportunities from near the colosseum?

When we return from Tuscany we have two more nights in Rome to finish off our trip, what are the best options for getting from Termini to Via Plinio 22, would rather not take public transport with the luggage and a couple of 70+ yr olds Smile

Thanks again!

Dean

Tram 3 (green line on Google Map) in back of the colosseum on Via Vibenna to across the Tiber to Viale trastvere. Get off. Get on tram 8 (blue line) going northward.

Metro A Colosseo toward Laurentina to Piramide Metro stop (maybe the Circo Maximo stop would work also. I can't remember how far the bus stop was from the Metro stop- was at Circo Maximo). Or Tram 3 to Piramide (or Circo Maximo) Metro stop. Bus 118 starts at the Piramide Metro stop and goes down the Via Appia Antica.
