We leave for Italy on Sunday. We have gone many times before, but this time are going to Sapri which we have never visited before. We plan on getting to Sapri from Rome by train. We are researching the best way to get to Positano from there. I see we can take the train back to Salerno from Sapri. We have researched the trip from Salerno to Positano on Slow Travel and saw that the best way appears to be by ferry. However, it looks like they are not running yet. Does anyone have any advice/information about taking a bus from Salerno to Positano?
I took the SITA bus the other way several years ago. (From Sorrento to Amalfi to Salerno) The bus let us off in Salerno about 4 blocks from the train station.)
We had to change busses in Amalfi. It was pretty simple though. We checked our luggage at a place near the bus parking area and wandered around Amalfi for a couple of hours before we caught a bus on to Salerno.
Get seats on the left if you're riding from from Salerno in the direction of Positano.
