I'll be visiting southern Italy in June, and I'll have the option of leaving from Brinidisi airport or Lecce railway station on June 17th. Ideally I'd want to visit Rome and take a guided tour that would highlight some of the key sights to see in Italy over 5 or so days (which based on what I've seen will probably leave from Rome). Anyone have any suggestions on what the best guided tours to take in Italy are (I'll be travelling by myself and am not really looking to *party*), as well as the best way to get from either Brindisi or Leece to Rome? (or any other suggestions for good places to visit around Brindisi, Leece, Rome etc...) I'll also eventually have to find my way back to London UK. Thanks
What I would do is take a train to Rome and stick to Rome alone for the following 5 days. If you want, you can reserve a couple of walking tours witha guide, but I don't actually like that sort of things. isit the city and take a daytrip to Either Tivoli or Ostia antica for one day. Fly back to London on a low cost airline on the last day.
