Our Air One flight to Naples departs Genoa at 8:30 a.m. Will arriving at the airport at 7:00 a.m. be early enough? I assume Genoa is not a large airport and it is early morning on a week day.

Also, our hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure is quoting a 100 euros for a transfer from the hotel to the airport. The airport is only half an hour from SML. Sounds like too much for a half and hour drive. I don't know if this is a taxi or private driver.

An hour and a half is plenty at Genova. You could cut it closer with no problem. Unless things have changed there recently one hour should be sufficient. The taxi cost does not sound out of line to me. Remember, it is a round trip for the driver.

Ditto Matt. You don't need more than 90 minutes, even 60 would be sufficient. Taxi ride is the norm from SML...
