November l is All Saints Day, and many things are likely to be closed in any town in the country. You will be able to find enough restaurants open, however. If you have reserved seats on a train, why would it be a hassle to be on the train that day, though? Best wishes,

One year we went with our friend to the train station in Florence on 1 Nov around 6 - 7 PM. She was going to Mestre to fly home the next day. Reserved seats were meaningless, you couldn't even get onto the train to claim your seat. People were hanging out from the doorways and steps. Two trains after her reserved seat train, she was able to finally get on a train in a 1st Class car. She paid the difference when the conductor came to check tickets.
